I can’t believe summer is over! And I also can’t believe Henry is starting Kindergarten… Impossible!

I wasn’t the only one who was upset about what was happening this morning though! Natalie was so excited that everyone was home this morning and then lost it when we all walked out the door without her.

I mean, these two boys were excited enough to make up for it, but you can still see her crying in the background! :(

We figured the school parking lot was going to be a straight up madhouse and we don’t live very far away, so we have the brilliant idea to walk them to school! Except it is August in Texas, so I am not sure how brilliant it was. They had all of their school supplies to cart in as well, so Matt and I were hauling most of that as well. Thankfully the boys had enough excitement to power through!

Though you can tell that Henry’s perfect hairstyle got a little bit ruffled from wiping sweat off his face. But apart from that minor inconvenience, you can see how ridiculously excited he is! He’s been so ready to be a big boy and start school like his brother. And I think Thomas was pretty excited about having him there at school with him. :)

So many excited faces this morning. Part of me is indeed sad that my baby boy is growing up, but part of me is so excited for him to start school and be such a big boy. They are an awesome age and I hope that every age that is coming will be even more exciting! (Though I doubt that with the teenage years…)

I clearly don’t have the timing down great for pick-up yet and the traffic was ridiculous on our road! So I grabbed Natalie from the house and once again walked to get the boys from school. She was so happy to be included this time and the boys didn’t mind walking home once they realized I brought them snacks and cold water.

Overall a great first day of school and I can’t wait to see what a great year they have!
