Bye Bye, 2018!

A fitting wrap-up for the year is the random photos from this month that I don’t want you all to miss out on. These kids are just so adorable on a day-to-day basis that the sporadic posts can’t capture it all!

One of their Advent calendar days was to go pick out toys to donate to Toys for Tots and the boys had a blast picking out things to give away. They didn’t ask for anything for themselves because they were so focused on other kids - it made me so proud of them!

This kid loves hot chocolate so much! Also eggnog! And I literally cannot tell what it is that cup…!

He’s happy either way!

Holiday party at work! Natalie is glad to see it from the outside this year. ;)

Nonni and Henry were all smiles with their coloring and cookie time!

I swear these two are giving me the exact same “cheese” smile. Guess we know they are related… ;)

Well, they were at least all kinda looking at the camera and not crying? I’ll take it!

Another winter - another ridiculous play for the kids! This one was the Diary of Worm, Ant & Fly and the boys really liked it. Matt tolerated it and Natalie fell asleep. So about like usual! :)

I googled some easy Pinterest crafts for the Advent calendar this year to have on the days without big activities or little gifts. These marshmallow snowman might be the cutest one for the little amount of effort! :)

Thomas’ class had an ugly sweater day and he had zero Christmas sweaters!! Luckily Nonni had just bought him this dark green polo and I just attached all these old felt tree ornaments on it with safety pins. He loved it and I think it certainly counts as ugly… Ha!

I may have gone a little overboard with food offerings after the Seattle trip and gave her part of my waffle this morning. She didn’t actually eat any of it, but she was excited about being such a big girl and getting real food! :)

I put these boots on her before leaving the house and she loooooved them! She just stared at them while moving her feet around. They didn’t stay on long once we got to the store, but that’s pretty normal for baby shoes. ;)

Trying to ramp up her normal food that we give her at meal time and cut back on the milk. I usually syringe feed it in while the pump runs her milk, but today I thought I would mix them - thus the “green milk”! It kinda worked, but seemed to slow the pump down quite a bit. Guess we’ll have to figure out a better method at some point…

She was helping me pick out what clothes to wear for our fancy photo shoot! I’m terrible at this, so I was asking Theresa how we looked. She approved! :)

Ohmigosh, these photos! Apparently we don’t do any better at all smiling when a professional is taking our photos. But the outtakes were again my favorite. Henry looks ridiculously adorable, while Thomas is trying to smile even though his sister is straight up attacking him! And you can’t tell if I am blinking or not since I am not looking at the camera.

Love it!

Can’t not include the classic “My first Christmas” outfit!!! :)

Santa brought the boys spy pens that show up with a UV light. Thomas came running in all excited that he had turned himself into Harry Potter. Love his lightning bolt! :)

Henry, as usual, was obsessed with the new cans of bath foam he got from Santa. Isn’t his hair fantastic?? ;)

As I was erasing the calendar to put up January, I once again saw the reminder of the November 30th earthquake, so I thought I would post one more reminder for that event:

IMG_1646.jpg

Just how many aftershocks were there? Well they haven’t actually stopped yet, but here is the magnitude of all of the recorded ones since that day. Thouuuuuuusands! And anything over 3.0 we are guaranteed to feel or be woken up by. Anything over 4.0 starts to be concerning and the >4.5’s make the kids run for the closet again. “/

So yeah, it’s been a stressful month despite all the fun…

If it’s not too much to ask, 2019, please - no more earthquakes!
