Random November

There were some cute moments this month that I didn't want y'all to miss out on!

Someone has developed a habit of going into the pantry and hiding to eat food. This week it was chips and she seemed very concerned Eliza was going to steal them away…

Let the weather get a tiny bit cold and we are ready to pull out some awesome beanies! (We have way too much cold weather gear for our current climate…)

He is such a cool dude!

For the first time in almost forever, I got to teach a geology field trip! We went to Del Rio, where the Eagle Ford rocks we produce from come to the surface in outcrops only a few miles away. Of course the first time I saw the rocks was about 2 minutes before I had to teach them, but I think I pretty good all things considered! And while Del Rio is right on the border with Mexico, that’s not the Rio Grande, it’s the Pecos River - and a nice, scenic lunch area!

But being field trip leader and logistics coordinator is hard work! I may have been hiding under the bus drinking my coffee before trying to round everyone up to go home on the last day. ;)

Someone was so tired today, but fighting taking a nap with every possible breath. So Neema decided to use a trick she employs with her sons and tied Natalie onto her back to walk around the house. Natalie was out like a light in no time!

The boys and I found a 3D printing design book at the library. Some of the designs were pretty involved, but we did manage to pull off this impossible sphere and cube. Definitely more our level of skill! The left side shows how it prints with supports and the right is after you clean it all up.

Someone is double checking the paperwork, but yes - it does indeed say that she is cleared to start weaning off her feeding tube! It won’t be a fast change, but man are we excited either way!!!

Pretty sure that shirt was on correctly when I put her down for a nap… lol

It's never a good feeling when water starts dripping out of a light fixture. This tiny pinhole leak took some effort to locate and probably had been going for awhile before it made a dramatic exit from the downstairs ceiling.

I guess opening drawers is the hobby of the month??

Probably should be quiet and stay thankful she's not emptying them as well… ;)
